Some realizations that hit me as I got older: By the time you can finally buy the TV you've always wanted, you're too busy to even watch it. By the time you can afford your dream car, you're usually on planes instead. By the time you're in a position to prove people wrong, you’ve stopped caring what they think. By the time you have enough power to get back at those who hurt you, you no longer want to. You just want peace. There’s a reason things take time, and why the early struggles matter. Go easy on yourself. Don’t stress over what you don’t have right now. In the end, it’s all temporary anyway.
